I visited with Abu and Mohamed at their workshop at Approved School, Wellington on Monday. Their organization is called Kyphoscoliosis Initiative for Therapy and Empowerment Sierra Leone (KITE Sierra Leone). They have been working along with Africa Surgical for several years now and they seem to have a well-organized program.
Kite-SL is the first organization registered with the Sierra Leonean Government, to protect and promote the special interests of disabled people with spinal deformities. They closely cooperate with Africa Surgery by providing fieldwork support for their Spinal Surgery Program.
