Mobility Worldwide MO-Columbia Update: 526 built since 1-1-17

Easter
is about new life.
It is about
moving from darkness into light.
It is about
the rolling away of the stones of
apathy, hatred, selfishness, uncaring,
marginalization, racism and poverty,
and allowing those imprisoned by such
to walk free and into the light of
dignity, pride, hope and justice.

When
a family who has lived in a dirt floored
mud and stick shack in Nicaragua
moves into a decent Rainbow house they built,
with potable water, a latrine, electricity and security,
that is Easter Day!

2015 Nicaragua home

When
a family in Kenya, who in their desperate poverty
receives the gift of a Heifer Project cow,
giving them milk, meat and manure –
that is Easter Day!

2010: The Luke Commission in Swaziland comes across this women on their way to set up a medical clinic for the day. They stop, visit with her and give her a Mobility Cart! Not lady in poem specifically.

When
a polio victim in Swaziland
who has for 37 years crawled upon the ground
as a beggar, receives the gift of a Mobility Cart,
that is Easter Day

When
the Spirit of a Risen Lord is at work anyplace
in this world, creating new life, new hope,
new justice, new visions and new dreams –
that is Easter Day!

Do not contain it to one day, to one place,
to one story. Celebrate it one day, but
make it happen all year!
