Mobility Worldwide MO – Columbia Update: 452 built since 1-1-17

When MOBILITY WORLDWIDE began, we had to find a way to distribute the hand-cranked wheelchairs. I knew that if we, ourselves, tried to do it, we would fail. How would we find those most in need and in the most out-of-way places and get the Mobility Carts to them?

I also knew that there were many NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) already out there in the places of need. They had worried and prayed about those who crawled upon the ground. We have relied upon those agencies, checking them out for their reliability and responsibility. It is from them that we get the reports from our carts. This report came recently:

Dear people of PET Project,
I’m a US doc in Old Fangak, South Sudan. We absolutely LOVE your wheelchairs. They are overwhelmingly awesome!

Your stories are so good. Just that someone writes that the person lives in the dirt is so good. I remember seeing a child in the clinic and asking about the mom; the aunt said, “Jill, the mom, is in the wheelchair you gave her and now she is off visiting her sister in a nearby village.” Everyone is so happy. Whole villages send their thanks to you……
