Many Hands for Haiti – Life Beyond Our Comfort Zone

From Haven CRC- Life Beyond Our Comfort Zone:

“God will stretch you. Whether you stay that way when you get home is something you need to work out with Him.”

Sometimes God calls us outside of our comfort zones…

In the afternoon we got the privilege of helping distribute PET carts to aid people who can’t walk. It was truly amazing to see the gratitude of three men who now can take responsibility for their own lives, no longer having to rely on other people to carry them places. We watched the countenance of each one change as they moved on their own for the first time since being disabled. It was a picture of the joy and gratitude we all should have when we are given the ability to walk again, free of past discomforts and disabilities in Jesus Christ.

Our last day in Haiti was a great conclusion to the trip. We were able to give people the gift of independence. Today we equipped people with the resources they needed to be able to continue to provide for themselves, whether that is a plantain tree for a food source, or a PET

cart to be able to move on their own. Today was about moving farther than temporary relief from the poverty in this country, it was about seeing hope in the life of one person that can ripple out and impact an individual, a family, a whole community, and even an entire country.
