Orphan Voice: Gift of mobility cart enables Mr. Canh, Peace Village, Phú Ninh, Vietnam

CahnThis is Mr. Canh. He is 63 years old and has no family. He lives in Peace Village in Phú Ninh. Though he is provided food and a place to live, he asked the village manager to allow him to work in surrounding villages by selling tooth picks, chop sticks, cotton…. The Peace Village said “yes” and asked Orphan Voice for the cart to make it happen.

His legs are very weak. His hands are weak too. He practices riding the cart around the village before he can go out selling things. This helps him occupy his time with work. He is making more money, has work to do and feels good about himself.

  1. I am very glad to see that this young man get a Personal Energy Transportation wheelchair. My husband and I visited Vietnam last year during Tet, their New Year holiday. Amidst the crowd that day, we saw several people who could have used a PET. My husband and I deliver PETs in Ethiopia, and they are truly miracle-workers for their people.
