Another PET distribution story from Honduras

HondurasA PET was placed with Jose Alexander Gutierrez, living in a village just north of the town of El Progresso, state of Yoro, Honduras. He lost the use of his legs as the result of a childhood accident. He has grown to be a young man and is still living with his mother. Unfortunately, his diabetic mother has also grown older and more frail making it difficult for her to support him physically and economically. He has grown desperate to be able to work more to contribute to the household. He is hopeful that the PET will provide him the mobility to be able to earn more. Most recently he was using a borrowed wheelchair in need of repairs and limited by the unimproved roads and paths of the village. You have provided a means and can only hope that he has the determination to use it to improve his life.
