PET MO-Columbia update 4/15/13

Goal to date: 540 Actual 572

Special visitor from Guatemala: Come meet or see again Ilse Caballeros
10:30-1:00 on Monday, May 22nd

Ilse Caballeros received her PT/OT degree (they combine both programs) from
the University of Guatemala and has worked for Hope Haven Intl Ministries,
managing the Pediatric Wheelchair Factory for several years. Her duties also
include managing wheelchair clinics with specialized fitting of each child,
home visits and coordinating students and faculty from a dozen universities
in the States. She also organizes PET distributions and the workers who come
to help and visit the country. Ms. Caballeros gives individual attention to
her many patients as well as other people in need in the villages and rural
communities around Antigua. She has an overwhelming position but manages to
consistently treat each person with respect and care, while keeping her
sense of humor. She is eager to see our PET shop and meet the volunteers who
give so much to help so many in Guatemala.

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that really
matter.” – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
