Point Hope Donates to Disabled

From Facebook: Today is the International Disability Day. The day was celebrated in Ghana under the theme: “Removing Barriers to Create an Exclusive and Accessible Society for all.” As part of Point Hope Ghana’s contribution in creating accessibility for all, we donated 105 PET Carts to the Center for the Employment of Persons with Disability (CEPD) in Accra. The Carts were donated free by PET International and shipped freely to Ghana by the US Navy. The Ghana government granted exemption from customs duties to enable Point Hope Ghana clear them without paying customs duties. The PET Carts are meant to enable the physically challenged to move around and engage in economic activity while the special case of the political case in Ghana will afford them ease of participation in the election and voting process on December 7, 2012.
