PET MO-Columbia update 8/6/12

Goal to date: 1240. Actual to date 1233.

*** Today we landed on Mars, an almost unbelievable feat. It is research and
work I affirm– but I must remind us that we still have 21,000,000 on this
planet without mobility. We have the way, but not the will.

*** This week we are gearing up to ship a 40′ high rise container to our PET
partner in Zambia- the United Methodist NewLifeMission, headed by Delbert
Groves. They are now providing around 500 PETs a year in their region, and
seek to do 1,000. Sewing machines, fabric, and some kitchen equipment will
be included.

*** A report is at hand from a PET delivery to Aizada Kozhobergenova, 35, in
Kyrgyzstan. Until now she moved with crutches and an old wheelchair. She was
unable to finish school and reads and writes a little bit. Her disability
pension is $43, and she knits socks and baby things to sell to neighbors.
She could not believe that she received her PET free and can now get out of
the house to visit, for shopping and to help her mother.

miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” Albert Einstein
