PET MO-Columbia update 7/16/12

Goal to date: 1120 Actual: 1121

*** Glen Rolf, PET volunteer, and the folks in the St. John’s Lutheran Church in rural NW MO near Tarkio, have come up with a creative way to raise money for PET. Atcheson Recycling, of Tarkio, places a dumpster at the church, and church members bring their scrap metal and throw it in. Periodically Atcheson picks it up and sends a check. Last week we received a check for $610.40 from them and another for 190.00 from the church.

Most farms and many urban dwellings have scrap metal that needs to be put
to good use. Try this idea.

*** 108 Plastic handles came last week from Rodney Hanson in MN.

*** A large supply of seat backs came in over the weekend from Dave Andrews of Senath, MO.
