In November 2011 the U.S. Navy’s Project Handclasp delivered 113 PET carts from three of the PET Affiliates, (PET Holland,MI,PET Memphis,TN & PET Penney Farms,FL). The shipment was donated to one of our new distribution partners in the Dominican Republic, The Foundation for Peace. Kristin Hamner the Chief of Staff and National Director of Medical Programs for the foundation coordinated the delivery with the US Navy.
Thursday January 19th a team of volunteers from the PET Affiliate in
Memphis, TN feft for a one week trip to the Dominican Republic to help
assist in the delivery of some of these PET carts. The attached photo
is of the volunteer team on the roof of their mission guest house.
PET International is happy to see some of our US volunteers taking
advantage of this opportunity to come along side The Foundation for Peace
and help with the distribution of PET carts to the disabled.
We want to thank this new distribution partner for all their help in
bringing mobility to those they serve.
